One planet you can’t afford to have in bad dignity in your Horoscope !

Jupiter - Word press

Every planet has been created by Almighty with an attached significance & specific set of areas to govern in our lives. Which by giving different experiences (good or bitter), helps the soul to evolve in this lifetime.  But, if we have to compare them on a scale of importance based on the mundane requirements of a normal human life, there has to be some planet ruling the competition. Which in this case is none other than the great preceptor of the council of ministers of Vedic astrology – Jupiter. Let’s have a non-redundant look at the importance of this planet in our lives

  • We have a planet ruling our Mind (Moon), our intelligence (Mercury), but both the aforementioned would be inactive or go astray if there is no knowledge or wisdom to feed it to, which is being controlled by Jupiter
  • A good posited Venus Or favorable transit of Venus could bring a relationship (marriage) into your life, but the sustenance of that relationship from all the obstacles or vicissitudes of life is handled by Jupiter
  • In one word it can be described as “Nectar (Amrita)”. No matter how badly afflicted planetary combination you have in your horoscope, just the involvement of Jupiter (aspect/conjunction/nakshatra) subdues it
  • What a normal person want in today’s day & age – Good education, wealth, spouse (marital harmony), children, friends, network circle, luck, foreign travel, job promotion, Guru, connection with affluent. Good news! all the mentioned come under the domain of Jupiter
  • While making major predictions (lifetime/yearly), it’s the transit of Jupiter & Saturn which is given priority.
  • Jupiter can also be defined as Hope & Optimism, which so ever house it gets placed in the horoscope, native surely attains hope from the areas of that house. For example if placed in 4th House (depending on the sign placement), native’s mother plays a pivotal role in native’s life
  • A badly placed Jupiter would make the person filled with low morals; vulnerable to bad company & persistent disturbances in smooth flow of life
  • Which so ever good yoga Jupiter gets associated with in the horoscope, it expands the goodness of yoga manifold
  • It rules three nakshatras (Punarvasu, Vishakha & Purva Bhadrapada). Punarvasu is synonym to safety, nutriment & considered as most harmonious among all nakshatras. Vishakha tends to behave obsessive with vulnerability to jealousy & viciousness. Purva Bhadrapada has intense energy with tremendous perseverance to go to any lengths to achieve its objective

The most important planet can be pleased by simplest of remedy. You respect your elders, give right counselling to people in need, materialize the education for poor & downtrodden, pay reverence to cow, wear gemstone (Yellow sapphire) & most important with riveted faith worship Vishnu (Planets are none other than Vishnu manifested in astral form)

Buddha - Word press wallpaper

As we have learnt about the thinking pattern of a person, by studying Moon in a horoscope and discovered how an individual’s mental state can be deciphered in seconds of time. Now comes the part of understanding the fuel of the Mind. That is none other than the intelligence, aptitude & logics.  Which drives the chariot of the Mind & consequently distinguishes every one of us. This department in the council of ministers of Vedic astrology has been given to Mercury with the title of prince. Let’s have a look at all the areas which are governed by Mercury in an individual’s life, something which I found true in my research on numerous charts

  • Mercury represents the nervous system of human body and is the significator of intellect, quickness of thought, logic & aptitude in Vedic astrology. Anxiety is primarily checked from the condition of mercury in the horoscope. It also represents speech, communication & sense of humor. A well placed mercury could make a person blessed with an excellent vocal talents & an affliction could result in speech impediment or bad communicative skills
  • It also represents writing skills or skills of hand and is the main representative of sales, marketing, advertising & publishing jobs
  • It’s a very curious & playful planet, which like an archetype prince wants to hop around at different places for fun & experiences. Promiscuity & multiple relations could be seen from the affliction to mercury as well in Vedic astrology
  • Mercury along with Saturn is the main planet of commerce & trade. It’s very calculative & very good with any occupation related to finance & numbers
  • Mercury has a neutral gender & along with other combinations (House/ sign/ conjunction/ nakshatra) plays a major role in affecting an individual’s sexuality. It plays a major role in the charts of Homosexual & lesbians
  • Same like Moon, it’s a very fragile & impressionable planet which imbibes the qualities of the planet conjunct with it or aspecting it. It acts best in Earth signs as it makes the intellect practical, realistic & grounded. Which is better than its placement in water (emotional), air (philosophical) & fire (intense) elements
  • It rules three nakshatras – Ashlesha, Jyestha & Revati, where all of them are extreme in their respective fields (Based on house & planet placement). Influence of Ashlesha makes someone a voracious eater, miser & deceptive (many suicides or catastrophic events have taken place while moon transiting this nakshatra); Jyestha influence makes the person vulnerable to jealousy, revenge & vindictiveness (though protective towards weak & underprivileged), high image consciousness, exaggerated moaning & groaning; Revati is the apex of gentleness, civilized behaviour, sophistication, nutriment, luck & wealth
  • As the planets equivalent figure in family & relationship is concerned, it majorly represents the sister in an individual’s chart
  • Generally astrologers say a combust Mercury loses its innate qualities of strong intellect in a horoscope, which I won’t completely agree as its always 28 degrees apart from Sun & is naturally immune to Sun’s heat & harshness

Now coming to the part of advising its remedy in case of appeasing the affliction or strengthening its good effects. Wearing emerald gemstone, feeding pigeons & donating money to eunuchs remain very helpful but the king of solution remains to be taking refuge in obstacle remover, heavy belly Lord Ganesha & worshiping Him with riveted faith

C

The crux of astrology lies in knowing the better side of people, not the one which they project in front of the world, rather what runs inside their Mind. In astrology that honour has been bestowed by Gods to the Moon. Which also holds the position of Queen in the cabinet council of Vedic astrology. Just by looking at the position of Moon in an individual’s Horoscope his whole thinking pattern can be deciphered in seconds. So, let’s have a different perspective look at Moon’s significance in Vedic astrology, something which is not redundant.

  • Beginning with the myth which needs to be discarded is that it’s the sign placement of Moon not Sun in your horoscope which tells your zodiac sign. It plays a vital role because the nakshatra placement of Moon determines your planetary Mahadasha (a planetary period – Where one planet controls the majority of the decisions of our life )
  • Moon tells about your Mother, your relationship with mother, health of mother & her position in society
  • It tells about your thinking pattern or to be more precise your mindset, which shouldn’t be confused with intelligence (intelligence is governed by another planet).
  • A good astrologer by taking into consideration Moon’s house, sign & nakshatra placement in your horoscope could exactly tell the thoughts which come to your mind, your beliefs, attitude & reciprocation to different situations.
  • After meticulous study of Moon in a person’s horoscope (from all angles of sign, aspect, planetary conjunction) you could confidently say that you know that person
  • It’s a highly emotional, fragile & impressionable planet, which absorbs the qualities of planets sitting with it or aspecting it. For example, an aspect of Mars to the Moon (posited at the house of career) could make the person vulnerable to getting bullied at work, or an aspect of Saturn could make the person vulnerable to fears. On a positive side, aspect of Jupiter, Venus or Mercury could instil intelligence, wisdom & righteousness in the mind.
  • In extreme cases of affliction to Moon, worsened by the planetary transits of the malefic, could make the person vulnerable to depression, phobias, idiosyncrasies & even lead him to the stage of suicide
  • The extreme conjunction of Moon which I have found in my research is with Ketu (Significator of Moksha & other realm), on a higher aspect it could make the mind open to the world of clairvoyance, intuition, strong healing abilities, past life memories, which could be so strong that a person may heal telepathically to people or could become a mediator to other realms. Working on a lower realm could make him suffer on the grounds of all kinds of psychological problems
  • I have also seen this in my research that majority of the people with Cancer (Moon owned sign) rising in their Ascendant (Personality, head , face) in natal chart gets blessed with a beautiful face
  • Moon owns three nakshatras (Rohini, Hasta & Shravana). All being distinct with their traits especially related to progeny; Rohini being  a very nurturing nakshatra if related to 5th House/ Jupiter could give desire to have or in real lots of progeny; Hasta gives sort of trouble with progeny under same conditions (5th House/ Jupiter) & Shravana is not considered favourable for having & raising children, as natives derive little happiness from children (5th House/ 5th House Lord/ Jupiter)

Now comes the most important part of strengthening our mind via Vedic astrology (remedy to appease the affliction). Though there are many remedies which people follow like wearing gemstones (pearl) or using silver glassware or increasing their water consumption. But the panacea or ultimate solution lies in the worship of Shiva (pouring water on ShivaLinga) who has adorned it in His head as a jewel

Know the commander of Vedic astrology – Mangal

Know the commander of Vedic astrology – Mangal

Hanuman - Mangal

No kingdom is safe without the presence of a formidable Commander at its service. More than Genghis Khan his commander & strategist Subutai is awed in history, so is the case with our epic Mahabharata where “Pitamah Bheeshma” became the apotheosis of commandership & valour. Talking about Mangal’s role in Vedic astrology & in our lives will not go much further to my quoted example. In one word it can be described as “Energy” & its placement in our chart, tells where we are going to exert our energy in this lifetime. Will it be towards our career, spouse, fighting enemies, religion? I will not cover the redundant points available everywhere, would rather bring forth my personal observations based out of research on numerous charts

  • It shouldn’t be compared with Jupiter in terms of looking for your spouse. Mars is like that boyfriend which every girl yearns to have during college years. (Muscular athletic body, good following among friends, nice car or bike, overflowing possession, creativity & expertise in music dance & drama, impulsive streak to indulge into fights for others). The husband material is Jupiter which could bring wisdom in a girl’s life along with giving her a progeny
  • Mars is that explosive energy, which if placed in an afflicted way in a native’s horoscope could make him a walking RDX ticking to explode anytime. Like those fellows who indulge in fist fights for trivial of reasons (even if someone has stared at them) & regret later. The impulsiveness & intensity of Mars is primarily seen in the charts of serial killers, rapists, murderers & brutal killings. On the contrary it also rules the chart of Police, Military, surgeons & army officials
  • A dignified Mars in a horoscope fills the person with very strong will power, stamina & courage. Like those fellows who from the riches come down to the penniless state, but still remain optimistic & courageous to turn back the wheel of fortune
  • It’s the significator of all kinds of blood, wounds, accidents & in extreme cases even of suicidal thoughts
  • The most dreaded Maanglik Dosha in astrology is nothing but just the placement of Mars in a horoscope in the houses of spouse, longevity & family. This could be explained via very simple example that out of three Nakshatras ruled by every planet, two of the Mars’s ruled Nakshatra – Dhanistha & Mrigshira (few padas) are not considered good for marriage. As Mrigshira gives problems in married life through illusion, under suspicion or plain misunderstanding. And in extreme cases those under the strong negative influence of the Dhanistha often end up hating the opposite sex.
  • A strong Mars bestow the native with lots of male friends, cordial relation with siblings, accumulation of Land (properties)
  • Although it’s the combination of Mars & Venus in the horoscope which makes a person passionate and signifies love affairs, however the possibility of over indulgence in sex or perversion is solely dictated by Mars (If ill placed)
  • Same like Saturn, Mars loves discipline. Those under the strong benefice influence of Mars, always live a life encircled by righteousness, virtuousness & full of discipline
  • This is my personal observation but I have seen people under the strong influence of Mars, travels a lot in life. This could be due to Mars association with the nomadic number 9 of numerology or with Lord Hanuman (Son of wind)
  • A weak Mars with other combination is the primary significator of piled up debts in a person’s life
  • The placement of Mars is a blessing in the difficult Dusthana houses (Litigation, enemies, debt, courage, competition) of horoscope. As it gives the native courage to fight them back with full potential.

Now after going through all the aforementioned points, you would have understood the significance of Mars in our lives. So what could be the best suited remedy to bring the commander on your side? Is it some “chase the dog” kind of remedy advised by prime time astrologers or something more twisted than that? It’s very simple, the only Deity who has the lopsided courage equivalent to thousands of Mars put together is Lord Hanuman. Just by worshiping the epitome of courage & will power “Lord Hanuman”, & reciting their propitiating chant “Hanuman Chalisa”, you would surely have the commander at your side.

Lord Shiva’s abode in astrology – A study

Lord Shiva Abode Final Wallpaper

This is an attempt to decipher the most complex subject via the realms of astrology. To praise, define & associate a deity whose character is so diversified that it still can’t be defined completely by all the Vedas together. It’s not grandiose to say that if the whole ocean of world would turn into the ink, all human hands would turn into the writing pens, whole earth would be used as the writing surface & all the sages would start writing His praise, then also we would miss some aspects of His revered personality.

When it comes to associate a planet with Shiva, we all know the answer in the form of a beautifully adorned crown in His head. But which Zodiac sign gets the honour of completely associating with Shiva has always wondered me, the sign which has the potential to completely encapsulate the contradicting aspects of Him. Recently, I have come across an article where the author has described Aquarius as the presiding sign of Lord Shiva. This further intrigued me to do a research on the Aquarius sign to get the underlying truth. This article is result of that work only.

While trying to find its symmetry with the Lord Blue Throat, on surface these claims look bit plausible as Aquarius is the 11th zodiac sign, a number which is considered as the most spiritual & extraordinary in Numerology. Along with being ruled by three planets Saturn (aloofness, contemplative & solid energy of ‘Muladhara Chakra’), Rahu (Most knowledgeable & philosophical) & Uranus (rebellion, transcendence, blissful & consciousness energy of ‘Sahasrara Chakra’). It also inherits the qualities of the original 11th House which stands for all the large network circle (Vast following), which is completely in sync with Shiva’s all embracing, & accepting nature in the form of His worshippers (Macabre, homemakers) . But to strengthen our claim, further digging is required. This can’t get complete without knowing the underlying operational force of the zodiac sign. These are the three Nakshatras which infuses their qualities in every zodiac sign. So let’s study them one by one

Dhanistha

It’s the peak of Martian energy with its symbol none other than a musical drum Damru. Our ancient scriptures are full of stories of Shiva’s immense music ability. Shiva, even while wreaking havoc & destruction, does so in a graceful and rhythmical dance form known as Tandava, exemplified by His famous Nataraja posture

Shatabhisha

This is the Nakshatra of mystery, contemplation, seclusion, which has produced (Moon/ ASC/ Jupiter/ 9th Lord in Shatabhisha) some of the greatest healers, saints, ascetics, human kind has ever witnessed. Ramakrishna Paramhansa, the leading spiritual light in the late 19th century, had his Ascendant, Sun as well as Mercury placed in Shatabhisha making him a triple Shatabhisha.

Purvabhadrapada

It is the culmination of Jupiterian energy which can be described in one word “diabolical”. All the Human sacrifices, fierce aggression, violence, extreme penance, self torture & self mortification can be ascribed to this Nakshatra. This is completely in sync with the destructive form of Lord Shiva (Though he destroys the ego, darkness & ignorance of humankind)

Contemplating all the above, we can confidently say that Lord Shiva presides over the sign Aquarius.
